Jacob Marcos

Jacob Marcos grew up in Miami, where he attended and played high school baseball at Gulliver Preparatory School, before continuing on to the collegiate level.
He began his college career at Barton College, earning All-Conference and All-Region honors while hitting .362 with a .459 OBP and 2 home runs.
He then transferred to Catawba Valley Community College, where he hit .418 with a .500 OBP in 16 games during the COVID-shortened season.
Jacob finished his career at Gardner–Webb University, where he was a consistent contributor over three seasons. In 2022, he hit .296 with 30 stolen bases, earning All-Tournament honors and leading the conference in stolen bases, followed by a .309 season over 56 games started in 2023. During his time there, he also recorded two ESPN SportsCenter Top 10 plays ranked #2 and #3.

He graduated from Gardner–Webb University with a bachelor’s degree in Psychology and a master’s degree in Business. Since graduating, Jacob has been actively training youth and high school athletes, focusing on developing hitting mechanics, defense, base running, speed, baseball IQ, and overall player performance through structured instruction and individualized coaching.
